Our
Story
When growing up in the Netherlands, I had the opportunity to study Millwright and Business. Even though this gave me a great foundation to start with, I've come to realize that what I really enjoyed was building things, preferably with wood. From there it became obvious that the real passion was construction. After working on many projects, it became clear that Timberframe construction was my new passion.
In 1995, I immigrated to Canada with my wife, and I got to turn my passion into a career that is when Norwood Homes was formed. We have build everything from timber frame and conventional construction homes, farm buildings , log structures to motels, to home renovations and pretty much everything in between . The various experiences over the years have made me well rounded and flexible to any task at hand. I have always enjoyed teaching others, staff and my son (and daughters from time to time), all the things I was able to learn over the years and pass it on that way.

Norwood Homes has now expanded where myself, my son, and several employees work on projects primarily in the Bragg Creek, Priddis and Millarville area in our wonderful province of Alberta.
